Carlos A. Solorio ~ Director of College Counseling
With over 25 years of experience, Carlos Solorio leads MYNT's college counseling program. Carlos graduated from Pomona College, where he worked as a student intern in the Office of Admission. Later, he attended Harvard University, where he earned a Master's degree in Education and worked as a Team Leader for an inner-city college counseling program.
Upon his return to California, he secured a job as an admission counselor at Harvey Mudd College, where he learned the intricacies of the admission process of a highly selective college. He later became Associate Director of College Counseling at Brentwood School. In this capacity, Carlos helped students gain admission into some of the country's most elite colleges. Brentwood School also introduced him to a network of college admission professionals with whom he continues to collaborate.
Before founding MYNT in 2008, Carlos worked at two Southern California college counseling firms, where he helped develop their programs and train new counselors.
Carlos is an active member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).
MYNT Education is located in a two-story American Craftsman-style house on the corner of Hudson Ave and Del Mar Blvd.
